Date: OCT 21 SAT
Topic: The Transformative Power of God’s Word
Psalm 19:7a (NKJV, NIV, GNB, Contemporary English Version)
The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul… *The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul…*The law of the LORD is perfect; it gives new strength…*The Law of the LORD is perfect; it gives us new life
Message:
The Word of God is alive, full of power and sharper than any double-edged sword. It can penetrate into any and every area of our life and cause changes,Heb.4:12. So many believers are struggling to change themselves from the outside when God wants to change them from the inside. As your mind is being renewed by God’s word, your life will continually experience transformation, Rom.12:2. It is the knowledge of God that stirs up the new life of God that is in us,Col.3:10. The word of God will transform both how you think and what you say about yourself. Remember that it is as man thinks that He is (Pro.23:7a) and also it is what proceeds from our mouths (Matt.15:11) that either edify or defile us. It is these things that will affect how you eventually lead your life. Even your prayer life will be positively affected, John 15:7
It is also as we see and focus on the glory of Christ in the word of God that we are changed from glory to glory by the Spirit of God into the very image of Christ, 2Cor.3:18 (AMP). Take the word of God personally. Continuing in the word of God is what makes us disciples of Christ indeed and it will cause us to know the truth that will guide us towards the fullness of the life and freedom we have in Christ, John 8:31-32. Surround yourself with the word of God. Remain passionate about the word of God. Value God’s word more than your physical food. Meditate on it in the morning and in the evening. Meditate on it even while you sleep. Declare it with your mouth. See it as your reality. See everything about life in terms of what God has said about them. Let the revelation of Christ dwell in you richly, Col.3:16.
Prayer Focus:
Fill me with your word, O Lord. May my life be continually transformed as I meditate on Your Word and as I think and speak in line with what Your word says about me.
